Isaac Toussie support helps Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center save lives

Over the last several years, nationally known philanthropist, Isaac Toussie, has made substantial financial donations  to fund Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and its research efforts to develop new treatments for cancer.

As is the case with millions of people across the country and around the world, Isaac Toussie has seen the effects of cancer in people he knows and cares about firsthand. That is why the celebrated real estate entrepreneur has not hesitated to open his checkbook to support Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York. For the better part of a decade, Toussie has continued to make substantial monetary donations to MSKCC to support the Center‟s goal of “providing the best care for cancer patients by improving treatments and our understanding of this complex disease.”

Isaac Toussie donations keep MSKCC among the best cancer centers in the country

As a member of MSKCC‟s „Partners for Excellence,‟ Isaac Toussie regularly makes substantial donations to several of the Center‟s research studies, treatment programs and biomedical investigations. This support has enabled MSKCC fund vital laboratory research, implement new treatment protocols and improved drugs, develop and enhance surgical techniques to treat cancer and help MSKCC reach out better to patients even after their treatment has been completed.

As a businessman, Isaac Toussie knew that cancer‟s numbers didn‟t lie. According to MSKCC, nearly 1.5 million Americans face a personal diagnosis of cancer every year. But thanks to the efforts of hospitals and organizations like MSKCC, there are roughly 11 million cancer survivors in the U.S. today. The goal, as always, is to make sure that number grows every year. Isaac uses his honed skills of finance, business, and law to help him rally support for this worthy cause.

Isaac Toussie‟s donations have helped the Center‟s programs set the standards and serve as models for other cancer centers in the U.S. and around the world. MSKCC was founded in 1884 as the New York Cancer Hospital and has since helped countless cancer patients fight their disease with cutting edge research and treatment. Toussie‟s support has supported basic science investigators and physician scientists open new research facilities and acquire state-of-the-art equipment, without which, breakthroughs in cancer treatments wouldn‟t be possible.

Isaac Toussie continues Toussie family commitment to funding medical research Over the last decade, Isaac Toussie has sustained the mission to give back to their community that was originally begun by his father, Robert Toussie. The younger Toussie has continued the family‟s dedication to improving the quality of life of the less fortunate by funding medical research around the world. The Toussie family has worked with several charities, hospitals, and medical groups to help the sick, blind and poor across the country. It is well documented that thousands of people have benefited from the Toussies’ medical contributions. Lives have been saved, suffering has been diminished, and illnesses have been treated and, in some cases, even cured.
